[edit]Why are a couple of the names in weird colours? And the yellow one is hard to read because of that. -- SGBailey 00:55, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- The "weird" colours represent the colours of the different lines. See the main PATH article. Darkcore 01:01, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
Station Layout
[edit]I don't know why Sixth Ave (B D F M) subway tracks are shown in the station layout. This station is located under Christopher St, not Sixth Ave. The Eighth Ave (A C E) subway crosses over the east end of the station at close to a right angle, and the Sixth Ave subway crosses under the foot passage between the street entrance and the platform, but neither seems relevant. Article title
[edit]@Epicgenius: Should this article be moved to Ninth Street station (PATH) or do we have a good reason to keep this exception on top of it not being part of the NYCS? Cards84664 23:18, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Cards84664, per WP:ORDINAL, I think this should indeed be moved to Ninth Street station (PATH). – Epicgenius (talk) 23:25, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Oknazevad: I know "9th Street" is the actual name, but for consistency sake it's a MOS issue, just like how Second Avenue station is actually "2nd Avenue" and so on. Cards84664 13:59, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah, it just sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the other numbered-street named PATH stations, which is why I mentioned the "similar quantities" item from MOS:NUMNOTES. Generally I think the "spell out numbers as words" idea is an outdated concept based on a false sense of formality. Heck, I literally said once on the MOS talk page that we should use numerals in text more often because they're universal and someone else said it would be like using slang! Called him out for that nonsense. But it's not a big deal to me. oknazevad (talk) 15:15, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
