information on legislative politics

[edit]

I can't help thinking that this page focuses too much on the building itself and not at all about the politics in the Argentinan legislature. Really the whole page needs expanding but I don't have nearly enough knowledge about Argentina to comment. 129.67.19.252 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 20:19, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How are the Houses apportioned?

[edit]

What is the difference in apportionment in the two Houses and how are they different from each other? Why are there two chambers and not just one? This is important information that should be included. GeorgeLouis (talk) 18:54, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Diagrams/ruling party out of date

[edit]

It doesn't look like the diagrams for the upper and lower houses of the legislature have been updated since the October 2019 general election, which was won by the Frente de Todos and Justicialist Party and President Alberto Fernández - see 2019 Argentine general election. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.95.78.246 (talk) 14:27, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The title is mistranslated. Can we move the page?

National Congress of ArgentinaCongress of the Argentine Nation – The article's title reads as "National Congress of Argentina", however, the correct translation from Spanish is "Congress of the Argentine Nation"[1] [2] since "Argentine Nation" is one of Argentina's official names and it is the official name most used in formal and ceremonial settings. Oppose or move to Congress of Argentina per WP:COMMONNAME [3] estar8806 (talk) 22:25, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Formal titles aren't the criteria, but common name. The English translation of the Argentine Constitution (on the Congress's own site) translates it as the "National Congress" (e.g. 1, 2) (and so does one of your very links). Much simpler.
