Shapur I "apparently includes in Ērān regions such as Armenia and the Caucasus which were not inhabited predominantly by Iranians".[10] In Kartir's inscriptions (written thirty years after Shapur's), the high priest includes the same regions (together with Georgia, Albania, Syria and the Pontus) in his list of provinces of the antonymic Anērān.[10]

Shapur I included several regions in his domain even though they were not dominantly inhabited by Iranians.
Does that mean Kartir's later inscriptions that listed the same regions (including some more others) which were Roman's territories, but Kartir claimed they belonged to Iran? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ThomasYehYeh (talk • contribs) 23:17, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
