Outro?
[edit]I have this song on a CD entitled The Ultimate Collection, which comes with two discs. Anyway, I didn't know that they said "Keep it to yourself, it's my life" at the end until relatively recently. When I heard it on the radio before, it had an instrumental outro at the end. They might not have had the background vocals back then, or on the other hand, some sounds you don't notice the first time around. Then, you start to pick up later on, same as in a movie. - Either is possible. There *might* be an earlier version of this song that fades without the vocals somewhere. Mr. Conrad 12:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Contradictory Lyrics
[edit]Section Song information identifies a block of lyrics as:
- "closed the shop, sold the house, bought a ticket to the west coast, now he gives them a stand up routine in LA,"
Later, under Other uses, a block of lyrics is quoted as (differences emphasized):
- "Got a call from an old friend, used to be real close
- Said he couldn't go on the American way
- Sold his house, sold his car
- Bought a ticket to the West Coast
- Now he gives 'em a stand-up routine in L.A."
At the very least, the article should explain the incongruity. -- Eliyahu S Talk 10:44, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Similarity
[edit]The song's similarity with Johnny Rodriguez' "Love Put a Song in My Heart" (#1 Billboard country song written by Ben Peters) has never been noted. 11:46, 5 Jan 2018 (UTC)
