Difference between Munda people
[edit]What is the difference between this article and Munda people? It looks the target range overlaps.--ABCEdit (talk) 16:45, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
- The hatnote at the top of Munda people explains it (sort of). The Munda languages are a subgroup within Austroasiatic. All people groups who speak one of the Munda language are commonly referred to as "Munda peoples", especially colloquially within South Asia. As this article notes, this includes groups such as the Ho people and the Kharia people. To complicate matters, a specific subgroup of these peoples, those that speak the Mundari language, is commonly designated "Munda" as well. In short, the Munda people are just one of the subgroups of the wider Munda peoples.--William Thweatt TalkContribs 21:54, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
