Naming conventions

[edit]

As always, these should be further disambiguated by what streams they flow into, as necessary when there is more than one Muddy Creek in a county. (I don't know what the convention is when there is more than one in a county that flow into the same stream. I'm sure it happens.) Valfontis (talk) 22:52, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. The names are placeholders to help them be unambiguous. The algorithm used works better for place names (rather than stream names). Unfortunately, the GNIS data I grab this from does not have the contributed-to stream name available. Clicking on each of the coordinates and looking at a topographic map would have the answer, but I figure whoever writes the article is in a better position to do that. —EncMstr (talk) 00:00, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

not a dab

[edit]

@Jsayre64: I removed the {{disambiguation}} tag from the article. This page isn't actually a proper disambiguation, and that tag causes grief for DAB WikiProject guidelines, so it is better to leave it off. See the history of Eagle Creek (Oregon). —EncMstr (talk) 03:09, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. It's supposed to be a list. I see now. Sorry about that! Jsayre64 (talk) 04:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
