Reserved forest?
[edit]I removed from the lead the following passage, which seems dubious to me:
The peak is part of Kanglatongbi Kangpokpi Reserved Forest,[1] which was declared in 1968 by the Government of Manipur under section 20 of the Indian FOREST Act 1927[2][3]

The citation [1] gives a map that shows two forests, one called Kanglatongbi-Kangpokpi Reserved Forest, which was declared in 1968, and a second one called Koubru Reserved Forest. The article has a vague claim: the remaining portion of the northwestern part of the Koubru Range adjacent to the KK reserved Forest has also been declared as Koubru reserved forest
. No date has been given or any order/declaration mentioned. Further the Annual Report 2018-19 of the Forest Department lists it as a "Proposed Reserve Forest".[1]
So, I don't see the verification for the claim that the "peak" is in the Kanglatonbi-Kangpokpi Reserved Forest. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 14:32, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
