- I don't think so. There seems to be no use of this outside cardinals and popes; for example see Rowan Williams and Anders Wejryd. In particular, "Ayatollah" is not used in Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, or Mahmoud Taleghani. --Saforrest 03:23, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello. There is a mass of farsi literature about muttahari. on the external section there is a link to english translated literature. maybe one should add the names of some of his english books. best regards--Lexiko (talk) 04:13, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
