Death
[edit]There are discrepancies in Cantor's date of death. I Googled both and the combination of the number of hits & the specific sources, brought me to choose the April 10. Her are some of my sources: Britannica - St. Thomas - Biologue.de
- Michael David 15:24, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- MacTutor has April 9, but de:Moritz Benedikt Cantor also has April 10. The third source above is just a mirror of German wikipedia. In the absence of more authoritative primary sources, I'd say we go with Britannica for the time being. Kusma (討論) 16:08, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Weber? Gauss' last living student?
[edit]The link to Weber shows someone born almost a generation after Cantor and I wonder if it is this is the wrong Weber for Cantor to have studied under. I note too that in 1920 Cantor was one of if not the last of Gauss' living students. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.37.99.86 (talk) 00:21, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
I suspect this is the correct Weber: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wilhelm_Eduard_Weber — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.37.99.86 (talk) 00:25, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
