Requested move 18 January 2017
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Move both per In ictu oculi's revised proposal. That means:
Andrés Bonifacio Monument → Bonifacio Monument
Bonifacio Monument → Monument de la Légion Etrangère (Bonifacio). BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 16:17, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- PS I have completed the page moves, and I think hat all the backlinks are OK. However, I am a bit tired, so I am not sure if I got it right. And I haven't touched the hatnotes.
- Pinging the nominator @RioHondo: please would you be kind enough to check the backlinks and hatnotes? Thanks. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:51, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
– The Philippine monument is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the term "Bonifacio Monument." The smaller monument in Bonifacio, Corse-du-Sud is more commonly referred to as the Monument of the Foreign Legion or Monument de la Légion Étrangère. - @RioHondo: your WP:FORK of the French monument footnote from the main Philippine article would have been better by copying and deleting the French footnote rather than copy-pasting the main body of the Philippines monument article. I'm not sure if it creates a page history issue which a closer may have to fix.
- Yes, i realize that now. Appreciate if the closer also switches their talk pages. I was rushing to take the Philippine article out of the page because one user keeps inserting the French monument in it. Decided i would take it to RM instead of booting the french monument out to avoid conflict.--RioHondo (talk) 10:25, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support first but second should have Monument de la Légion Etrangère (Bonifacio) since Monument de la Légion Etrangère (Souain) is equally notable in books. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:00, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- Support the disambiguation.--RioHondo (talk) 10:25, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
