Japan?
[edit]Let's see, it says he's signed a contract with New Japan, then right under that it says his criminal record prevents him from traveling to Japan. Someone should check those sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.11.142.140 (talk) 00:30, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay i asked him on twitter about japan and he said he hasn't signed with anyone http://twitter.com/The305MVP/status/14458695211552769 or just go on the guys twitter page for the reply :) 77.100.183.244 (talk) 23:55, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Name change
[edit]MVP recently noted on his twitter that his name is not Alvin Burke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.117.248.28 (talk) 08:09, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Conflicting sources for debut year
[edit]The infobox of the article cites a SLAM bio of Burke as having debuted in 2003. An interview with Alan Wojick cited in the prose says he debuted in 2002. I would suggest changing to former to 2002, as that date is coming straight from the horse's mouth. Any other opinions? Gavyn Sykes (talk) 01:02, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Agreed--Falegas (talk) 16:56, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Ya I don't think this was too accurate "Burke first entered professional wrestling after completing 9½ years of an 18½ year prison sentence for armed robbery (Watermelons), tree climbing, tv stealing, and kidnapping(grape drink) which he started at the age of sixteen." (I think it's just racist.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.250.53.52 (talk) 02:07, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's since been reverted. Feel free to be bold and revert yourself next time. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 06:31, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguation?
[edit]There is a disam link to Antonio Banks, Why is that? Antonio Banks and Alvin banks really aren't that similar. Sephiroth storm (talk) 11:32, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Burke used to wrestle under the name "Antonio Banks", and it actaully redirects here. It's there at the top of the article so that if someone types in Antonio Banks looking for the American football player, they'll be directed to the correct article. ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 11:57, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Name
[edit]MVP stated on his Twitter page that Alvin or Alvin Burke is his father's name, and not his (https://twitter.com/The305MVP/status/22028053486). CollisionCourse (talk) 20:28, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
King Tut and pyramid tattoo
[edit]The article states that he has tattoos of "... the sarcophagus of King Tutand pyramids". I am guessing this should be "... the sarcophagus of King Tut and pyramids" but am willing to wait for clarification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrZoolook (talk • contribs) 23:42, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Barred From Japan?
[edit]It says he is barred from certain countries like Japan. He must not be banned if he is working for NJPW. Sure his past made it hard for him to get a visa, but he did. So wherever you got that he is barred from entering Japan must not be factually correct. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 19:02, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Name
[edit]I'm not sure how clear he has to make it that his name isn't Alvin Burke.

If you want this to continue to be inaccurate, by all means keep deleting correct changes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.247.4.213 (talk) 21:36, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Name
[edit]His name is not Alvin Burke Jr.
Fixing ignorant mistakes does not constitute as vandalism, so don't accuse me of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.81.163.187 (talk) 00:38, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- For something as fundamental as a name change, you need to provide a reliable, verifable source for the new name.SeaphotoTalk 00:44, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Name
[edit]In his interview with David Lagana, he refers to himself as Hassan on several occasions. His name is Hassan Hamid Assad. Reference: http://blip.tv/file/5121616 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.169.147.253 (talk) 04:20, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Name
[edit]On this website, everyone is referred by his real name and MVP is listed as Hassan Assad. I think that it could be reported as his real name since he says that his name is not Alvin Burke Jr.

First hand knowledge
[edit]I know MVP personally, trained side by side with him, traveled the road with him, I know for a fact he did not train Johnny Vandal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.90.184.25 (talk) 12:45, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- What if I was to say that I also trained with them and know that MVP trained Vandal? How are you a more credible source than me? You're just some guy on the internet.TheFBH (talk) 14:54, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
No I'm not, I'm a wrestler, I'm not a mark like you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.90.184.25 (talk) 14:57, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Entrance Music
[edit]MVP confirmed on Twitter that he has never used his song "Holla to the World" as an entrance music. The song should not be listed as such.

Real name changed
[edit]So, apparently back at the end of March an anonymous user stripped MVP's Muslim name off the article. (link to the edits in question). Did I miss something about MVP going back to his birth name or is this just some vandalization? NeoChaosX (talk) 04:39, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
