[edit]

Just a few doubts: the article looks good in many respects but lacks a bit when it comes to physical precision of the terms used. First of all the monte carlo technique do not model photon transport since no quantum property of light is taken into account. It doesn't even provide a rigorous approach to model classical light since it totally disregards interference. What it actually does is to provide a convenient tool to simulate (classical) light transport in the diffusion regime. This is usually enough for many pourposes (like, e.g., computer graphics) but is definitively not the panacea that emerge from reading the first few lines of the article. --J B 09:44, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ray Tracing?

[edit]

How does this method compare to ray tracing? Ray_tracing_(graphics) Jim.Callahan,Orlando (talk) 05:10, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
