Swapping Arrows

[edit]

I added some details about Vagif's life basically translated from the Russian page abour Vagif, but I am not at all an expert on Azerbaijani/Caucasus history and sources are hard to obtain casually; I just thought the anecdote about the exchange of messages in particular was interesting/illuminating. If there are any errors in this passage, perhaps someone more knowledgeable might correct them! Best, Eliezg 08:35, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding that info. I wrote that article in Russian wiki, and I appreciate you adding that part to the English article. Grandmaster 08:39, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of Azerbaijani poem

[edit]

The translation of Azeri poem to English seems to be weak . Does it have sources ?
As an example ,consider the translation of this section : Bayram oldu, heç bilmirəm neyləyim//Bizim evdə dolu çuval da yoxdur///Is written like this: It is a holiday, don't know what to do///All sacks are empty in household of ours///
But I think Bayram is celebration of Nowruz and not simply a holiday and that part is better translated as "new year came and I don't know what to do (I can't do anything)//In our house,we even don't have the empty sack.... --Alborz Fallah (talk) 18:42, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
