Persian

[edit]

Reading the article, it is somewhat implied that mathematical symbols and notation is translated in Persian speaking countries as well as Arabic speaking world. I cannot speak for Afghanistan, but for Iran I know that this is not the case. Any numeric value, and mathematical notation is written in English and from left-to-right; all the standard western notation is used in all grades of primary and secondary education as well as higher. The only difference is the use of Perso-Arabic (Indian) digits. Therefore, I shall attempt to remove any references to this and correct mistakes, perhaps even add a section to rectify this if this discussion entry won't be disputed in the next two weeks. Specific Countries

[edit]

Regarding the above comment on Persian, the article should note which specific countries use this system. In all Arabic speaking countries? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 오블라디 (talkcontribs) 16:36, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
