Oghuz or Chagatai
[edit]It is claimed that it is an Oghuz language and the best known liteary form is Karakhanid (i.e., Chagatai language). I see a contradiction between these two phrases. Both Oghuz and Karakhanid are Turkic languages. But they constitute different branches of the same language. While the Book of Dede Korkut is in Oghuz, Ali-Shir Nava'i's works are in Chagatai.
