The consensus was that the article should be renamed from "Middle Rocks, Johor" to "Middle Rocks".

I wonder whether this article should be named Batuan Tengah or Middle Rocks. Any comment? __earth (Talk) 13:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English).--Huaiwei (talk) 16:06, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why the name "Middle Rocks, Johor"? There is no other article called "Middle Rocks". — Cheers, JackLee talk 17:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am formally proposing that this article be renamed from "Middle Rocks, Johor" to "Middle Rocks". I feel adding "Johor" to the article name is unnecessary as there is no other article named "Middle Rocks", nor does there appear to be such a place anywhere else in the world. Do weigh in with your comments so that consensus can be reached on the issue. — Cheers, JackLee talk 09:17, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is at least one other Middle Rocks, see http://www.thecrag.com/CRAGS/MiddleRocks-262996.html for some information, but clearly less notable than this one IMO. Andrewa (talk) 09:26, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Middle Rocks, Johor, MalaysiaMiddle Rocks — Very recent bad move to the current title. There is no need to disambiguate this page, and per Wikipedia:Article titles it should not be this precise, and it should be concise. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 12:06, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

Any additional comments:
How many of them are called "Middle Rocks"? It's the proper name of the rocks in question, even in international forums. This is the ICJ case. I googled "Middle Rocks", and only got hits for these rocks. Yes it's a bad name, but so is North Sea. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 15:22, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, didn't know that you had. I didn't list it as speedy because someone had moved it, and I'm not sure a revert is considered speedy. Not sure what the procedure is, maybe note another editor opened an RM? Apologies again. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 16:59, 25 February 2011 (UTC) [reply]
