My name is Eric Solis. Have you done your research before blocking people that identify me as the innovator, pioneer and being the person that coined the term micro-investing in 1999? If you go to microinvesting.com you will land on savedaily.com which is the company I founded in the articles you have deleted. I bought the url in 1999 after introducing the concept in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fortune Magazine and other national publications. BTW If you have a conflict of interest to protect Acorns, Stash or Robinhood, please make that CoI known. Because if you just do a little bit of research you will find that Eric Solis as the CEO of Savedaily coined and pioneered the concept. If you go to ChatGPT (a much smarter source than Wikipedia and blow hards like you) it will confirm my standing as the pioneer and even the father of micro-investing. Also, the people you blocked are the original contributors to creating the Micro-investing Wikipedia page. How dare you block them from their work! After 17 years trolling Wikipedia, maybe it is time for you to retire your bot. Otherwise have some class, do your homework, research, don't be lazy, get over your ego and accept the truth. Fact is you should be blocked for your reckless behavior of calling Fortune Magazine a blog. You could have worked with the truth as opposed to blocking it and the contributors. You are the exact reason that Wikipedia will become obsolete within 5 years. I look forward to your reply. Tesla1123 (talk) 01:00, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Housekeeping note: I've removed the original title of this section, which was a clear personal attack against an editor who had content disagreements with him, and replaced it with the title "Claim of authorship". Mathglot (talk) 22:04, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi CNMall41, Subject: Apology & Request for Collaboration
Hi CNMall41, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out to you regarding my previous post here in the Talk page from a couple of months ago. My intention was to contribute accurate and valuable information supported by reliable sources, but I understand that my involvement in writing the additions personally is a conflict of interest. I let my frustration get the best of me and for that I am sorry.
I fully understand the importance of maintaining the neutrality of Wikipedia content. To that end, I am reaching out to ask for your collaboration, assistance and guidance. The information I added about the origin of micro-investing is true and is backed by reputable sources including The Wall Street Journal (1999), The New York Times (2001), the Brookings Institution and the Ford Foundation (2002). I believe that the origin of inventive ideas ideas is important. That said, I do agree it needs to be done impartial and in alignment with Wikipedia’s guidelines.
If you’re open to it, I would greatly appreciate your collaboration and expertise in helping me incorporate this information in a way that is appropriate and aligns with Wikipedia’s guidelines. I am not an editor, writer or Wikipedia expert so it should not surprise me that my content gets pulled down. Haha
Once again, I apologize if my previous interaction was out of line, and I hope we can work together to enhance the quality and credibility of this page. Your help would be incredibly valuable, and I’m grateful for your consideration.
I'm going to pass. I don't really believe your "intention was to contribute accurate and valuable information" based on the lengthy edit war and spamming the information into several Wikipedia pages. However, don't take that as discouragement as Wikipedia is an open source community and you are free to contribute. Please read WP:COI and WP:PAID prior to make any disclosures that apply. After that, I would recommend using the talk pages (like you did here) to propose the change. Make sure to include a reliable source that supports what you want added. --CNMall41 (talk) 03:59, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply.
My objective is simple: what I have stated here is either true or not, and it can be verified through basic research and fact-checking. I believe that maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia content, is both a responsibility and an obligation, irregardless of procedural mishaps in the process.
Regarding any potential personal conflict of interest, please understand that I am no longer involved in the industry, and there is no personal gain for me in any business related activities to micro-investing. Additionally, I have long since divested my position in Savedaily. My sole intention is to ensure that the historical accuracy of micro-investing, both in terms of its conceptualization and technological implementation, are accurately documented.
Lastly, again I acknowledge that my approach in this ongoing exchange may have come across as unpolished; with that said, please bare in mind that I am a passionate innovator who has put it all on the line to change the world for the better, and in this case to preserve accurate historical information. At the end of the day, there are more important problems to solve. I have said my piece and from here will leave it to Wikipedia to decide what to do with the accurate information provided.
