HIS REAL NAME IS MICHAEL HANEY, AS IN HANEY BC, NOT SO NAMED. Some notes below from Maj. JS Matthews. Memorandum of conversation with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Creelman, at their suite No. 46, 2625 Hemlock Street, Fairview, Vancouver, 25 May 1937.

Andrew Onderdonk. M.J. Haney. C.P.R. construction.

Actually, you are referring to another Michael Haney, Irish-born, came to Canada and managed portions of the CPR mainline construction in the 1880s and also the Crow's Nest Line in 1897-98. The similarity between names has caused no end of confusion amongst historians. Ian mckenzie (talk) 22:45, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
