Michael Haley's ethnicity
[edit]What is Michael Haley's ethnicity? Is he African-American?, or part African-American? Thanks in advance to anybody who knows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.96.41.243 (talk) 13:34, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]Aside from his marriage to Nikki Haley, I see nothing in this article that even remotely meets Wikipedia's standards of notability. Someone please point out what I am missing. 2600:387:5:80D:0:0:0:9C (talk) 06:13, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- I agree. Five years later and nothing has changed. See Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Invalid criteria. Richard75 (talk) 16:17, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
Why is there no portrait?
[edit]I just think it’s kind of strange that he doesn’t have a portrait. SmashingThreePlates (talk) 00:36, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
Needs a page move: he's not a noteworthy soldier
[edit]Being in the South Carolina National Guard seems to be a not insignificant but nonetheless small part of his life. The page title, with the qualifier "(soldier)", does not in anyway make it easier to know which of several "Michael Haley"s the article refers to, nor does it in any way reflect the source of his notability; there must be at least tens of thousands of current and former military personnel with more notable military careers. The page needs to be moved: Perhaps "Michael Haley (political spouse)"? MayerG (talk) 16:49, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
First Gentleman
[edit]Why hasn't this travesty of a page been corrected? He is NOT a "noteworthy" soldier. I doubt if *anyone* will seek his Wikipedia entry because of his National Guard service; he is, obviously, noteworthy as a (previous) First Gentleman of SC and possibly as the spouse of a person running to be the Republican candidate for POTUS in the 2024 national election. Recently, Ms Haley claimed her son Nalin was conceived via artificial insemination (I didn't see any clarification about who donor was, her husband or someone else, known or anonymous), so that is also worth a mention. (Neither of her children have obvious resemblance to her husband/their father, imho.)98.21.208.178 (talk) 00:59, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
