While this isn't policy, I have removed it due to the fact this this phrase can be found almost nowhere on Wikipedia. It is incorrect english.
- "To comprise" means "to consist of"
- "To comprise of" would therefore mean "to consist of of"
Language critics have claimed that this usage is wrong for a long time.

- It is not incorrect in English. It is only incorrect when the purposely narrow definition that includes "of" is used. Major dictionaries reflect that the "of is not implicit in the meaning, and is often used without it. Giraffedata purposely ignores that fact in his essay on the subject. Do not change it if you are reverted, and I will note you are now very close to 3RR.--Kevmin § 01:48, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Kevmin: I didn't notice the revert when I made the 2nd edit–I'll stop now, sorry. Redditaddict69 05:28, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
