"My Girls"
[edit]I don't see "My Girls" on that blog. All I see is something labeled "Summertime Clothes" but is actually "Wonderful Christmastime" by Paul McCartney. Where is the "My Girls" link? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.102.174.229 (talk) 20:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- The post with "My Girls" has been removed and the fake "Summertime Clothes" has been posted afterwards as a joke. The original post can still be seen in the RSS-feed, but the leaked mp3 has been removed from the server. Beryll (talk) 11:40, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Conflicting dates
[edit]Why does it say this album will be released in the US on both January 6th, 2009 and January 20th, 2009. The only difference is it says LP next to the 6th one but then what is being released on the 20th?
- The vinyl is being released on the 6th. The digital and cd releases follow on the 20th.HeadTalking (talk) 09:29, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
"Brothersport" or "Brother Sport"?
[edit]Is it "Brothersport" or "Brother Sport"? The source says "Brothersport", but the Label-Page says "Brother Sport". Beryll (talk) 11:40, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- It is generally accepted to be Brother Sport now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.138.148.11 (talk) 05:39, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
UK release date
[edit]I dont think the UK release date is correct - I just bought my LP copy in London today. The store owner said today was the general release date. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.123.178.207 (talk) 15:12, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Professional review suggestion
[edit]As an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to this review of Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion. However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the review and—if he or she sees fit—post it to the professional reviews section. I appreciate your time. Crawdaddy! (favorable) [1]

- Thanks! I think I may write a reception part of the article for tomorrow. I'll look into it. Cheers! Andrzejbanas (talk) 05:36, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
For the last time
[edit]Merriweather Post Pavilion is Animal Collective's eighth studio album. Hollinndagain is a live album and therefore does not count as a studio album. The entire reason the qualifier "studio" is used is to indicate that Hollinndagain is not included in the album count. -DMurphy (talk) 00:08, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Too many reviews
[edit]The infobox was way to jam packed with reviews. Per WP:Albums, there should only be 10 reviews. I've moved some of the removed ones to here for future reference.
Feel free to discuss what should and shouldn't be in the infobox! Cheers Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:14, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
- This makes me sad! Tiny Mix Tapes should be up there because it's awesome. [2] <- Here's metacritic for it, if anyone wants to write a "reception" section. -67.204.203.100 (talk) 02:12, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- It could be added again to replace something a bit more obscure like The Skinny. If I ever get around to expanding it, I'll be sure to try and quote from it. Thanks for not quickly re-adding it regardless of the rules. :) Andrzejbanas (talk) 04:10, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- why is rolling stone a relevant review? they don't like any music that peaked before 1970. putting them here only prolongs their reign as people that shit on creative new music while trying to preserve the time forged traditions of led zeppelin and other disappointing music. a review from something like the onion would be much more useful and forward thinking
- Although I do find Rolling Stone to be quite the dinosaurs of rock criticism, you can't deny them because of this. They've been around. They are established. It's important to think what these people thought of the album. Plus, you want to keep the reviews unbiased, so some of the less positive reviews still have to be included. Andrzejbanas (talk) 06:00, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not to mention Rolling Stone actually hated every album Led Zeppelin ever made.--Bulbler (talk) 19:12, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
What does Anthony Fantano have to say about this?
- Nice meme. Myxomatosis57 (talk) 05:18, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Importance Scale
[edit]How could MPP, the most important album of the decade, be rated as low-importance on Wikiproject Alternative Music's scale? Ridiculous. Tortoiseshell55 (talk) 20:00, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I just want to say that
[edit]This is a very good album, I listened to the begining songs and the middle songs and even some of the ending ones and I was able to discern that is a very well crafted piece of art.
Much praised to their art.
I like how they are spreading a message of art in almost every angle...
much regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fuwikepedia (talk • contribs) 03:23, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Regarding chronology
[edit]I think ODDSAC should be removed from the chronology, since you can't "follow" the chronology on the ODDSAC page. Thoughts? Blåmes (talk) 17:18, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Philip Glass meets The Beach Boys
[edit]Is there any information regarding the influence of Philip Glass in any of the members? To me, MPP is like Pet Sounds had it been arranged by Philip Glass. Have a listen to his 'Music in Twelve Parts'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.27.28.58 (talk) 12:45, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
'In popular culture' section - relevancy
[edit]I'm not a hater but I don't think a homebrew faction for a board game counts as popular culture. So, can we rename this to 'trivia' or something? If not, daresay, remove it? Undiacritical (talk) 20:19, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
