Mel Jones → Melanie Jones – using the full name would free up Mel Jones as a disambiguation page between this athlete and the mother in Coraline_(film)#Cast who is pretty notable as well. ScratchMarshall (talk) 03:44, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose the mother is a one-off character in a film, who doesn't even have their own article. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:04, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose If a one-novel/one film character is notable enough for an article, it can have a disambiguating parenthesis and a hatnote on this one. No need for a new two-entry disambig page for a non-existent article of questionable notability. Ribbet32 (talk) 07:25, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. Generally real people take precedence over fictional people. A hatnote is fine. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:00, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

I doubt anyone is coming to this article looking for someone who wasn't that notable who died 27 years ago. MaskedSinger (talk) 18:12, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
