Requested move 20 February 2023
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. I have not updated the links pointing to these articles; a review suggests that the articles that previously linked to MediaWorks New Zealand intended to link to Warner Bros. Discovery New Zealand. However, I may be incorrect, and further review by editors better acquainted with this topic is encouraged. (closed by non-admin page mover) BilledMammal (talk) 16:30, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Warner Bros. Discovery New Zealand → MediaWorks New Zealand
- MediaWorks New Zealand → MediaWorks Radio
– I am requesting this article's title to be changed back to MediaWorks New Zealand because there are former websites that MediaWorks has owned that are not mentioned on this article currently, but was mentioned before on this article before 13 January 2021. The mover of this article, which is Socks 01, should have left the MediaWorks NZ article as is, and should have created a new article called Discovery New Zealand in January 2021, which should have been moved to the current name of this article, which is Warner Bros. Discovery New Zealand, in April 2022. I am also requesting that the current MediaWorks New Zealand article should change its title back to MediaWorks Radio, for the same reasons as moving this article. - Relisting comment: Relisting for a final time; this move cannot be considered "uncontested" due to the 2021 move, but in the absence of opposition after a final relist I would consider there to be a consensus to move based on lack of current opposition BilledMammal (talk) 02:44, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
@Bassie f:, @Arbitrarily0:, @BilledMammal:, thanks for your interest in the above articles. Having worked on them, I agree that the MediaWorks New Zealand article should be restored to its former form with updates about the sale of its television arm to Warner Bros. Discovery New Zealand. A separate Warner Bros. Discovery New Zealand article should then be created focusing on the television assets. However, I am not sure about having a separate MediaWorks Radio article since the company containing the radio assets is still officially called MediaWorks New Zealand. Let me know if you need help unpacking these articles. Andykatib 08:28, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
