Good article nomination
[edit]@Jaguar, Ilovechristianmusic, Cornerstonepicker, IPadPerson, U990467, and Davey2010: User:Beachey23 has made some improvements to this article recently, and nominated it for Good status. Just thought I would ping you all, being WikiProject Meghan Trainor participants, to see if you can think of any other ways to improve this article. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:57, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- This is definitely a good idea. What is a WikiProject? I assume it is users who edit an article often?--Beachey23 (talk) 17:01, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Beachey23: A WikiProject is a group of editors who are interested in collaborating on articles about a particular topic. See the WikiProject banners at the top of this page? They show that this article is related to Meghan Trainor, Pop music, and Songs. You can add your name to any WikiProject, and don't forget to add the page to your watchlist if you want to follow along with various discussions. The MT project is here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Meghan Trainor. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:05, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
@FanofMusic, Carbrera, and Ss112: Also pinging you three since you've each made improvements to this article. Feel free to help make any additional improvements that would help this article get promoted to Good status. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:23, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- I have withdrawn the nomination for now as it looks a bit premature. In case this discussion leads to more improvement of the article, I wouldn't want it to interfere with this.--Beachey23 (talk) 18:35, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- I think what's missing is critical reception. What did music critics say about the song? Hopefully other editors will help expand this article, and then you can reconsider for Good article nomination. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:58, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- Its basically all part of the composition section already. I'll have to delve into album reviews for that. Isnt that discouraged?--Beachey23 (talk) 20:06, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- You can include commentary about the song from album reviews. Songs are often deemed ineligible for standalone articles if their coverage is only found in album review, but this doesn't mean you can't use album reviews to expand articles about songs, if that makes sense. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:31, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Another Believer:, the article looks much better now. Should I proceed with the GA nomination?--Beachey23 (talk) 09:32, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

@Jaguar, Cornerstonepicker, IPadPerson, U990467, Davey2010, Another Believer, Carbrera, Ss112, and Beachey23: I would like to see "Me Too" become a GA, but I've had issues in the past with critical reception. Someone had removed what I had added stating something like "The review about the sound of the music. It's not critiquing it, so it shouldn't be listed". Again, that's not verbatim, but it was somewhere along those lines. Hope User:Beachey23 has better luck than I did! :) FanofMusic (Talk to Me!) 00:37, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
The article has been promoted to GA status. Congrats! ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:05, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
Proposing some changes
[edit]I was working on the major expansion of this article and it was bought to my attention that it should be discussed with the rest of you. These are the proposed contents. [1] Does anyone think something could be done differently?--MaranoFan (talk) 14:49, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- @MaranoFan: Invite you to implement proposed changes, but please do so in smaller chunks for easier editor review. Thank you. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:10, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- I believe your edits have already been restored. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:10, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- I think I'll just restore them on the other ones too. WP:BOLD applies to all articles after all.--MaranoFan (talk) 15:56, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
