Valder Reference

Peter Valder, Gardens in China, Timber Press, 2002 contains a secton on the tomb starting on page 110 and ending on 111. The section has the heading "SHAOHAOLING (TOMB OF SHAOHAO)" and on the 2nd page (pg. 111) contains exactly the information that the reference was quoted for in the previous version:

  • The tomb mount that has been covered with stone slabs during the reign of the Song Dynasty emperor Huizong in 1111 CE

(page 111, bottom of left column)

  • Emperor Qianlong ordered the planting of the thujas, when he visited

(page 111, bottom paragraph in the right column)
