Is it not the point of Wikipedia to try and grow to include all of these? There are many contributors trying to write articles on producers, musicians, bands and groups that are not already featured on wiki - these will be added one by one.

From the About Wikipedia page:

"Since its creation in 2001, Wikipedia has grown rapidly into one of the largest reference Web sites on the Internet." - it would seem that the comprehensiveness of this online resource is something that the Wikipedia comunity pride ourselves on.

"You are welcome to add further information, cross-references, or citations, so long as you do so within Wikipedia's editing policies and to an appropriate standard."

I agree that the best place to start is with musicians and producers that have albums released, certainly this article would qualify. If you can recommend any that have releases that don't have wiki articles please let any of us know and we'll start researching them too.

It's a nice article, but surely this is a promotional article which is basically advertising Mark Maclaine?

There are hundreds of producers and bands which do not feature on Wikipedia due to their small impact in today's music scene.

I agree with the above. The entirety of the article has clearly been written by Mark Maclaine, whoever the hell he is!!? And has next door to zero factual basis to it. It's the same with his band's article. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT FAMOUS BUT THEY REALLY WANT TO BE. It's just sad and pathetic. What does 'Post Trip Hop' even mean? Until this guy gets his break he should stop deluding himself and filling wikipedia up with crap no one cares about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.139.205.120 (talk) 14:20, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just so everyone understood, this guy is very very very distantly related to the royal family and might one day be king of england. Long live the king!

In the event of an asteroid impact. But this needs to go on the talk page: he's currently the last person on Wikipedia's list of the succession with an article. —innotata 02:53, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 28 July 2016

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Moved. I think it's true that he is the primary topic for the name, although the fact that the other is nonhuman is not in itself reason enough. Notable fictional characters may contend for primacy with real people.  — Amakuru (talk) 12:39, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Maclaine (director)Mark Maclaine – Move to facilitate the removal of disambiguation, due to other use of name not being a real human: see clear guidelines on the wiki page: Human name disambiguation pages. A link should and will however be placed at the top of this page asking if the user wants to be directed to the fictional character's page. This should remove confusion as this person fulfills multiple roles (as is clear in the article and through references). Jameslenton (talk) 08:41, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
