Having been been raised, alongside his brothers, by a single mother, Marcus has commented on the hardships he faced (sometimes going without food) as a child due to Conservative governments.
What has yet to be explained though is that he was born in 1997 following a “New Labour” landslide victory in the Uk General Election, and was 13 when the “Tories” were voted back in to power. By this time, he had already been within the Man Utd Academy Structure for 5 years. 2A02:C7C:944A:6D00:2C76:4E56:496C:EFC9 (talk) 11:34, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@MoKhan123 You have created multiple edits labeling Rashford as one of the best wingers in world football. The sources you have added don't prove this in my opinion (List articles where he isn't even in the top 10 , some from multiple years ago) Most footballers in those lists ranked above him such as Mitoma at Brighton who aren't labeled similar in their articles. This is not substantial enough evidence to include in the opening paragraph. Happy for input and debate from other editors here as don't want this to become an edit war. I agree. I had a search for "best wingers in the world" and of the first links to come up (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) not a single one mentions Rashford. I think this should be pretty telling in terms of whether he's well regarded as such enough to merit having it in the lede. ser!(chat to me - see my edits)14:02, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
