Bulgarian

Why is its name in Bulgarian? Surely someone should put some explanation for that somewhere in the article. Was it first named by the Bulgarians? Is that why? If so let's put it in the article. Thomas Norren (talk) 02:26, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it was first named by the Bulgarians. The references 1 and 2 say so, but if you believe that should be explicitly mentioned you would be welcome to do so. Best, Apcbg (talk) 09:29, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The reference SCAR Composite Antarctic Gazetteer says in English that "This name originates from Bulgaria." As for finding the relevant entry in the Bulgarian Antarctic Gazetteer one may just search for "Madrid Dome" which appears in English once in the otherwise Bulgarian text.
