Too little content
[edit]Shouldn't the discography and notable voice roles be a lot longer? I don't know who started those, but it seems to me that if you feel that such a section is needed, you should at least move the relevant information from the introductory paragraphs into the new sections, or at least provide stubs for the other albums so that other people can fill them out.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 192.218.140.157 (talk • contribs) .
- I agree, and I'll work on expanding them as I have time. --日本穣 21:35, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Discography
[edit]I'm trying to make a clean-up to Maaya's discography, because she doesn't have THAT MUCH albums and single for an especial article about her discography. Clouded 19:37, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- All of the releases listed on Maaya Sakamoto discography page were legit. Why did you blank the article and redirect it here? It's long, and needed to be in another article. I've reversed your edits. Please remake any changes to the Maaya Sakamoto discography page. --日本穣 21:18, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- In the future, please do not do something this drastic without first discussing it here. --日本穣 21:22, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- It wasn't that much info, just a little talk and the tracklist from each album, and all of that were separated ona single article, according to Wikipedia terms that says what it's supposed to do in a discography, not all the albums with their tracklist together on a same article. The article looks more clean now, don't reverse that again , please, because it's correct and the info is not lost, is in the articles of each album. Clouded 03:06, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- So you created a whole bunch of stub articles for the individual albums, rather than having one cohesive article that's not a stub? That doesn't make a lot of sense. --日本穣 04:49, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- yes, i have done that, because is more cleaned that having all those albums together on the same article.
I'm not a big Maaya fan so i can't put any information to her albums, hopefully some Maaya fan in the future will complete those stub articles, i can't do more about it, I was just trying to help Maaya's article, and I Think I did, it looks so much better now. Clouded 18:55, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Just wondering, why are the singles linked to other pages containing the definition of the word (i.e. Hemisphere links to Hemisphere? It has no relevance that I can see--68.148.43.152 00:27, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Only Clouded can answer that since s/he is the one who did it. --日本穣 Nihonjoe 05:10, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Help
[edit]Hi. I have added info from its Japanese one. Created the template as well. I've made a little to-do list:
- Look for sources and reference them
- Add bio & career info
- Improve album and single's article
She has plenty of dubbing roles, beginning from year 1988 (when she was only 8 years old) She also starred in commercials and web anime. Concert info, more radio info can be found in the JA wiki as well.
I wanted to write the career info, but it's quite difficult not knowing everything in between. Articles like Mika Nakashima and Utada Hikaru can be used as examples. Another question, where to find the latest news on J-pop artistes
Can anybody help? I really want to make it better!

Music Video
[edit]I have a Music Video by Maaya- "Uchuu Hikoushi no Uta (The Voice of an Astronaut)". The animation is credited to Keizou Kira. CFLeon (talk) 20:48, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Unsourced material
[edit]Do not add unsourced material to articles about living persons. Per WP:BLP: Material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion. If material has been removed from this article because it is unsourced, then do not add it back unless you include a reference for the source. Iftelse (talk) 18:50, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
Debut
[edit]"She made her debut as a voice actress in 1998 as the voice of Qawool Towles in the anime series El Hazard, but is more well known for her role as Hitomi Kanzaki[1] in the hit anime series The Vision of Escaflowne." Can someone explain to me how this makes any sense when Escaflowne came out two years before El Hazard: the Alternative World? YeahYeah SureSure
If I were to make an educated guess, this role was not her debut role. Whoever originally edited the article to 1998 probably thought Qawool Towles was her debut role, and if truly were her 'debut role', then 1998 would be the correct year.... since El Hazard: The Alternative World, in which the character Qawool Towles appears for the very first time aired during 1998 before going to VHS the same year. She did not appear in the original El Hazard storyline series nor the television series 'The Wanderers' (which aired in 1995 and 1996 respectively). On the other hand, it is noted during one of her interviews at AnimeExpo 2005 (also mentioned on fan sites), that her very first anime role was a character named Chifuru, in a title called 'Little Twins' in 1992: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7233
Her first debut lead role should be Hitomi Kanzaki from 'Vision of Escaflowne'; however, at the same time, her bigger role would have been in 1998 as Qawool Towles, since El Hazard was arguably the bigger, and more known franchise of the two at the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.110.6.207 (talk) 03:43, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Maya Tamayura
[edit]This article has no mention of Tamayura by Junichi Sato, even though I heard it was Ms. Maaya who composed and sang the OP music hit "Okarinosai" for that OVA and TV anime. 82.131.129.52 (talk) 22:50, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
