"remove unsourced material"

[edit]

I've had to undo several of your edits-gutting articles is not how we address lack of sources. We fact-tag and/or we find sources to back up the material. Please slow down and do either of the latter. --Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 17:36, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Material was removed from articles per WP:BLP: Material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion.Iftelse (talk) 17:52, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging stubs

[edit]

Please note that the tagging of stubs as needing references is not necessary (BLP pmay be an exception if the info is conte, ntios or defamatory) - a stub is clearly a work in progress. Furthermore, all articles about settlements are de facto notable, and many are already on the watchlists of their parent project members. There is no need to keep copies of common tags on your user page, so If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page.--Kudpung (talk) 12:10, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Care to tell me how this doesn't meet A7? Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 22:56, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Uh, maybe because AFD and speedy can overlap, and it's a blatantly obvious A7 that doesn't even try to assert any kind of notability? Speedy and AFD can overlap. THEY CAN OVERLAP. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 23:01, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Luke Walker (filmmaker), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page West Midlands (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
