(false) account of Ma Zhongying from book
[edit]from "whoos who in china"
GEN. MA CHUNG-YING, army officer ; born at Hochow, Kansu, 1909 ; entered army service at age of 15 ; served successively as battalion com- mander and regimental commander ; promoted Commander of the newly organised 36th Division in Sinkiang, 1933 ; born of a well-known Mohammed- an family, he has been much respected by the Mohammedan population in the Northwest, particularly in Kansu and Sinkiang ; when Chairman Chin Shu-jen of Sinkiang was overthrown by the Mohammedan tribes in the spring of 1933, he marched from Kansu into Sinkiang and took over control of that province; however, soon Gen. Sheng Shi-tsai, a Manchurian Commander, with the Manchurian troops repatriated from Russia rose to oppose him and a war of rivalry for the mastery over Sinkiang ensued in the summer of 1934, during which his Mohammedan forces on many occasions threatened to capture Tihua, capital of Sinkiang, but each time they were repulsed > intermittent fighting between him and Gen. Sheng in Sinkiang lasted for a considerable time; finally, in July, 1934, he was defeated by Gen. Sheng's troops and was forced to take refuge in Soviet Russia; he and the remnants of his troops were disarmed by the Soviet authorities and interned in Russia; he returned to China, 1934 and is now living in Tientsin.
The first part is true, while the last sentence is junk. He never returned to China or Tientsin (tianjin).06:35, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

- Does it matter if a source is good or bad to be part of an article as long as the information whether good or bad is established so that a complete story of the article can be told? As long as the credibility is explained in the article then everyone should not be mislead.66.74.176.59 (talk) 10:35, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
