The MD MS Program is a tutorial-based program where the students are trained by research scholars on the modern enhancements that have been performed in the healthcare industry. The M.D./M.S. program is designed for people who intend to pursue clinical practice and want to develop research skills in a related engineering area. It is also suitable to students who want to improve and understand technologies they will deploy as practicing physicians. The program provides a funded research experience in engineering that is expected to lead to a research publication and provides practice in engineering design and analysis.[1] Eligibility for the program[edit source | editbeta]

MD MS programsMD-MS program – Usage, accuracy and style. Kornelia Peterson (talk) 16:09, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Note the consistent use of a slash ("MD/MS") in the references. I've changed to that usage in the article. If there's to be a name change, it should reflect that usage. Dhtwiki (talk) 21:27, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Dhtwiki: I would rather support "MD-MS program" than "MD/MS program". There's a slight quirk in the MediaWiki software that will interpret the talk page as being a subpage of "Talk:MD", which is incorrect. If sources don't consistently use slashes, I believe a dash is preferred. — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 00:08, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And see the RM at Talk:JD/MBA. — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 00:12, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean about the talk page title. However, absent this necessity, do we need to avoid the use of the slash altogether? Is it to be banned from the article body? The JD-MBA article is inconsistent in its use of slash/dash, and so are its sources. Here the sources consistently use the slash and there's no such usage in the article now. Dhtwiki (talk) 05:15, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. I think many folks prefer going with sources... I personally prefer consistency, not that sources are to be ignored. There's recently been a number of moves/suggestions among similar articles to use dashes, see Talk:PhD-MBA, MD–PhD (though with an en-dash), DPT-MPH. — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 05:42, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
