Comments
- The lead is a little light, doesn't really cover the major aspects of the article, e.g. some of the early history could go in there...

- MTA should be expanded before using its abbreviation.
- M23 SBS is in bold but M23 SBS doesn't exist. Probably worth creating that redirect.
- "It replaces a " replaced?
- Image caption is a fragment, no need for period. Check other image captions.
- Done by Epicgenius.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 15:43, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- "because it needs to terminate along " strange way of putting it, why would a bus route "need to terminate"?
- Done by Epicgenius.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 15:39, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- I don't understand the <6> format?
- Per Talk:Hunts Point Avenue station/GA1, this was used to denote the rush hour express, which was signified by a diamond (<>) symbol. epicgenius (talk) 14:45, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- I wonder if we need to explain that to our non-expert, non-US, non-public-transport-savvy readers? The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 14:51, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- It may not be necessary anyway if we suppress the diamond option. The rush-hour expresses are irrelevant except for people traveling to the Bronx or southern Brooklyn after transferring from the M23. epicgenius (talk) 15:53, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

- "14 local or Select Bus Service (SBS)" you'd already abbreviated this before.
- You really don't need to repeat [2][4] every single sentence for so many consecutive sentences...
- Per MOS, don't auto-collapse that table.
- @Epicgenius: How would you suggest I deal with the three issues with the table? Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 15:43, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- I suppose we can format the rest of the SBS tables this way, on the main SBS page. Or we can duplicate the table from the Select Bus Service page and make a new table on this page, with TRM's suggested changes. epicgenius (talk) 15:53, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: Do you know how to get the table to not auto-collapse?--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 22:41, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Kew Gardens 613: Seeing as how it's also used in the SBS article (which is really long), I'd rather not edit the SBS article to autocollapse it. I recreated the header here instead. Let's see how that works out. epicgenius (talk) 01:19, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

- Why bold text in the Connections column?
- Table isn't sortable so much overlinking going on in there.
- @The Rambling Man: What do you want me to do about this?--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 22:41, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- @The Rambling Man: I don't think the stop name needs to be sortable because it's a chronological list of stops. However, maybe the "Direction" and "Connections" columns can be sorted.
- Well by all means make the other columns sortable. If not, then there's considerable overlinking going on (i.e. NYC Bus, M12, M11 etc are all overlinked). The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 06:59, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
- "The bus was renamed the M23 to match the street it ran on in 1989.[23][24]" avoid single-sentence paras.
- "riders a day.[5]:5[3]" ref order.
- "4,862,343 riders in 2010 and 3,831,755 riders in 2015, or 15,000 riders a day..." the infobox has 2017 figures...
- "it also got that distinction" -> "it also received that distinction"
- "23rd Street was " avoid starting sentence with a number.
- "Double parking was one of the issues that frequently" was another one of the issues... you've already listed a few others.
- Avoid SHOUTING in the ref titles.
- Ref 24 currently showing an error as missing a url, are you using {{cite web}} and not pointing at a web-based source?
- @The Rambling Man: This is a map in my collection. It is not online.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 15:39, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- @The Rambling Man: I wish I knew that the cite work template existed years ago! Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 15:46, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

That's sufficient for a first pass. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 13:54, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- @The Rambling Man: Besides the issue with the table, is there anything else that needs to tbe addressed? Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 16:12, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- Refs 28 and 33 are showing "More than one of |deadurl= and |url-status= specified" error. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 17:08, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Kew Gardens 613 just the overlinking in the non-sortable table to address now... The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 18:53, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Cool, I think we're good to go now, so I'm promoting. Nice work. The Rambling Man (Staying alive since 2005!) 07:30, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
