Comments
[edit]Everything looks good on this through the first reading. Images, NPOV, and stability all check out. The only thing I'd say that there might be too many images. Sometimes more than one per section crowds the text. But it's a judgment call. I'll make a second pass sometime today for a deeper analysis of the prose. --Coemgenus (talk) 11:50, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
In "Early history," a fuller description of the horsecar service would be useful.- The 1871 lawsuit: Do you mean to say it reached the Mass. Supreme Judicial Court? And to which "United States Court" did they appeal?
I don't think "Coolidge Commission" needs to be italicized. Nor "Program for Mass Transportation".--Coemgenus (talk) 12:13, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- Done.
- I believe so; however, court records for the era are difficult to find. I'll keep looking.
- Both of those are actual document titles, not merely descriptions; as such I believe they should be italicized.
- Thanks for your thoughtful review. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 07:00, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- OK, I'm fine with the italics. Based on the source, I'd say the "Supreme Court" in question is the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the "United States Court" is the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. If you make those changes, I'd say this article is ready to go. --Coemgenus (talk) 02:06, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Escalator and second elevator
[edit]Hi folks --
I just spent almost an hour trying to find an online reference / citation for the northeast elevator (at Central Square, Union and Exchange street) being out-of-service. Same for the escalator. (Prior to just now there was no mention of the #2 elevator nor escalator at all!) I will come back to this again later. Thanks in advance for any help finding a citation! I'm betting the Lynn Item newspaper has one or more, but the googles don't know about it/them.

- @Stefan01902: I found a source for the escalator being out of service by 1995. Would you be able to get photos of the elevators and escalator (or what's left of them) and upload to Wikimedia Commons? Thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 06:47, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Pi.1415926535: Sure thing!! I think I even have photos already. Stefan01902 (talk) 15:56, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
