Title
[edit]The list of standardised Welsh place-names in Anglesey is merely one source, and simply the recommendation of the commissioner, but not an enforced name (a WP:OFFICIALNAME argument), and not necessarily a mispelling if it is used.
Ngrams only shows Llanfigael as recorded, and similar searches show more use Llanfigael more, especially about the church.[1][2][3][4], whose article had used Llanfigael for a while (so now both match).
Of course, should the council adopt all recommendations, and use the standard Welsh spelling, encouraging the church to change, then evidence can support a change then. But the list itself is not a reason, it is not the "official list of place-names". DankJae 20:45, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
