Renaming Liu Xia (intellectual) to Liu Xia (dissident) was not very good idea

[edit]

@Timmyshin: I don't think it was good idea to rename the page from Liu Xia (intellectual) to Liu Xia (dissident), because Liu Xia is well known as poet, painter, art photographer and wife of Liu Xiaobo (who was really a dissident and political activist), but she was never a dissident or political activist, — that's why was strange why she was not allowed to travel abroad during the last 8 years. I would better rename then "Liu Xia (poet)" in future if there will be no protest by wiki-authors. PoetVeches (talk) 16:37, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The question is, if she weren't Liu Xiaobo's wife or hold similar political views, would her poetry, paintings, photography etc. attract attention? The answer is probably no. But I admit that I don't know much about poetry to make that determination, so if no one objects I will gladly move it to Liu Xia (poet). Timmyshin (talk) 18:17, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
User:PoetVeches Sorry I forgot about this article. Should it be "poet" or "poetess"? Is she also notable as a painter? I think we need more input, why don't you open a WP:RM? Timmyshin (talk) 17:41, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Timmyshin: I can now move to Liu Xia (poet). I just wait for more wiki-authors opinions. (Poetess is currently out of use in English language as archaic and offensive.) PoetVeches (talk) 18:55, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Timmyshin: I found one video by SCMP on YouTube and their website and DW News where Liu Xia she is really entitled "DISSIDENT": Chinese dissident Liu Xia, widow of Liu Xiaobo, speaks out for the first time in New York
Chinese dissident Liu Xia's health improves in her new home in Germany

In all, there is lots of variants how to disambiguate the page from Liu Xia (judoka). But if you will really not argue, I move this in the more used by mass media as Liu Xia (poet)."Poet and writer Liu Xia". I also think for disambiguation no need to call the page with long "Liu Xia (poet, writer)"? or "Liu Xia (poet, writer, painter)"? Have good week-end!
