  • I technically wonder whether this falls within the 7 days requirements, but is so close that I don't think it ultimately matters. The article is long enough, written neutrally, and properly uses inline citations. I'm assuming good faith on the non-English source usage. The hook is short enough, interesting, and cited inline. The QPQ is not required, as this is the editor's second DYK nomination. Everything looks good to go! SilverserenC 20:46, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't currently know any Chinese, but it is fairly easy to notice some serious obstacles against a promotion to GA. Out of a total of 29 references, 14 (almost half) of them are of Wudai Shiji, while 9 of them are of Song Shi. Being mostly based on primary sources, this article desperately needs to be balanced with modern publications, which do not appear to be difficult to find. And there are actually some modern secondary sources here. More from these could be added if possible, which the article would immensely benefit. The lead needs to be expanded to be a better summary of the article. The article overall is short, and the content may be limited by the brevity of Liu Ji'en's rule, but even then, the lead is still too short and could ideally give more clues about the content. Dividing the article into multiple sections would really be great. In conclusion, there's some work to do, and I'm afraid the article is apparently unfit for a review at the moment.
