Okaihau Tunnel

[edit]

Just clarified, there is ONE tunnel north of Okaihau. I have changed the prose slightly to highlight that although it can be driven through by vehicles it is not on a main road. Bevanjlewis 12:31, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reference lists

[edit]

Auckland Vector Tunnel

[edit]

It would be good to find some official information about this tunnel in Auckland which runs from Penrose to Auckland CBD, create a page about it specifically and add it to this list of tunnels. It carries power cables critical to the Auckland and Northland power supply.

It was constructed after the 1998 power crisis... https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/1998_Auckland_power_crisis

Length of the 12 removed tunnels on the NIMT line

[edit]

Using the table on this page: https://teara.govt.nz/en/1966/tunnels-rail-and-road I calculated the sum of the length of all the removed tunnels and converted it into metres.
