I added more Andrew --Maorisurfer 00:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians, I have just added archive links to one external link on List of songs recorded by Coldplay. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Clarification

User:GustavoCza Wanted to clarify this edit before an edit war happens. In song lists, it is not customary to combine rows and columns throughout. Even though it looks cleaner, this interferes with the sortable table. Furthermore, a quick Google search shows that the band haven't announced the title of their upcoming album yet. Even though "Higher Power" is the lead single for the album, we should leave it in the table as a non-album single until they officially announce the new album, then we can change the box and add the other album tracks (if they announce those simultaneously). Hope this helps and avoids confusion. – zmbro (talk) 23:39, 23 June 2021 (UTC)

GustavoCza Please don't add an infobox. Those are not appropriate for song lists as they add absolutely nothing to the page. Thanks. – zmbro (talk) 02:31, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
Zmbro I was just trying something new, but yeah, it won't work. Sorry. --GustavoCza (talk) 02:39, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
GustavoCza After I saw you made this, I just want to clarify. Please don't make the lead any longer than it needs to be. I think as it currently sits it doesn't and pretty good job of summarizing their current work and once they release their final works we'll need to save room for this as well. I only say this because I checked out Coldplay discography and imo that lead is WAY too long. I'm fine with you reworking aspects of this page's lead, but please don't make it 4x longer, otherwise I'll notice. Thanks. – zmbro (talk) 19:22, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
Zmbro I'll admit the discography lead is a bit full, but the old one barely had their achievements and simply didn't include anything past the AHFOD album, which is basically erasing the last six years of their career. But don't worry, I'll try my best here (plus I'm already tired to elaborate too much, if you go to the band's article you'll notice I reworked everything from Artistry to Endorsements). --GustavoCza (talk) 19:35, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Unreleased songs

Hi! Why was the unreleased songs list trimmed this way? Last summer I found sources for most of them, deleting all that material seems a shame to me. Please let's restore the original list and properly discuss its eventual deletion. FilBenLeafBoy (Let's Talk!) 16:35, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

A lot of it was fan sites, which are not considered reliable, but if you have good sources we should 100% bring it back. -- GustavoCza (talk) 14:39, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
I agree. If we have reliable sources discussing them they should be ok to include. – zmbro (talk) (cont) 15:25, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
Hello again, @FilBenLeafBoy and @Zmbro. I've been revamping the band's tour pages and the set list sections for both A Head Full of Dreams Tour and Music of the Spheres World Tour are done. The unreleased songs Coldplay wrote for each concert are all sourced there, I hope it helps. -- GustavoCza (talk) 13:24, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

GustavoCza Hey there. Just to let you know that since this is a featured list we can't be having tags on the page (like at all). I suggest finding sources for those specific unreleased songs otherwise they need to be removed for the time being until one is found. We need to maintain the FL standard and I certainly don't want a list I brought to FL having tags. Thanks. – zmbro (talk) (cont) 16:34, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

Just finished a massive clean up. The tag is now removed. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 06:58, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Unreleased Songs

Hello. I was looking through the unreleased song list (love it!) and I noticed that not all live improvisations were included. For example, Houston #1 is included on the list (AHFOD 2017), but Washington DC, the day we got set free (etc.) (MOTS 2022) isn't included. I think that this list should be either expanded to include all live improvisations, or remove any current ones for consistency sake. Cherrell410 (talk) 20:34, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

I think the improvisations should be removed, other tracks such as "Ladder to the Sun" or "A View from the Top" have a (small) chance of showing up one way or another on their discography in the future. My only request is to keep "The Dubliners", I haven't edited Viva la Vida Tour's page yet to include it there. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 20:49, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
I feel like Ladder to the Sun and A View from the Top should still be included (sort of like one world), as well as the dubliners, but any city specific impovisations should be removed, unless we can find a source for every single one (which we probably could), Cherrell410 (talk) 12:24, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
Yes, yes, "Ladder to the Sun" and "A View From the Top" should be included because they are not improvisations. If I'm not mistaken, "The Dubliners" is an improvisation, I'm saying we should keep it here while I don't edit the Viva la Vida Tour page and remove the other improvisations. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 12:31, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
I would agree with all of that. Cherrell410 (talk) 12:50, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
