[edit]I think all stadiums that arent the home of a soccer team should be removed. Willy turner (talk) 04:07, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree, and I have reverted your changes. A large wholesale removal of information should be discussed, not based upon your own opinion. Greg Salter (talk) 22:30, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Just because they aren't soccer specific doesn't mean they need to be removed. Some stadiums have more soccer dates than football dates, so what! More stadiums need to be added. All CIS, PDL, PCSL, CSL and national championships sites. Just my opinion. Coppercanuck (talk) 02:46, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- All stadiums hosting games for the 2015 FIFA women's world cup and 2014 U-20 Women's Championship should be added.Rkehler3 (talk) 01:03, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Rename page
[edit]Because the sport is generally called soccer in Canada, and because Canadian Football such a big part of Canada, unless anyone can make a better argument, I'm going to rename this page to List of soccer stadiums in the Canada. The similar page for the United States is named this way. Greg Salter (talk) 22:03, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Numbering anomaly
[edit]Hi there - this list shows "ties" for stadiums that have equal capacity, but the numbering system doesn't account for ties properly; in other words it shows 12, 13, 14=, 14= and then 15 when the next should be 16. The result is that there are 65 stadiums listed but the numbering stops at 40. I will go ahead and correct this in a few days, but if there are valid objections to this proposal, please let us know now. Thanks, PKT(alk) 17:08, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- @PKT: Good catch. There shouldn't be any objections as this change is necessary and isn't correct the way it is. Off the top of my head, it is also followed at List of footballers with 100 or more caps for example. I can make the changes now as I am free. Stadiums without Wikipedia pages
[edit]Is it appropriate to add stadiums to the table that do not yet have a dedicated Wikipedia page? Furthermore would it make sense to input them as an external link? Nelson Roy (talk) 18:14, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- It's acceptable. There are already a couple of redlinks in the list. They should not be listed as external links, but rather the links should be included as references. But I wouldn't think there are many stadia that don't have articles or a section in another article, unless it's pretty small? PKT(alk) 21:49, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks
Regarding stadiums with no links, there are some stadiums that as of right now I don't think have Wikipedia pages that are still relatively significant to Soccer in Canada, for example Alumni field in Charlottetown which hosted the shortened 2020 Canadian Premier League season. I suppose for now I could just link it to the University of Prince Edward Island. Still relatively new to editing Wikipedia articles so I appreciate the feedback. Nelson Roy (talk) 07:07, 10 February 2022 (UTC)- I do not think that they should be added unless they are actually notable and already have an article. I can add a lot of soccer stadiums to the list that are far from notable, and would prefer to see no redlinks at all. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:46, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks
Additional columns
[edit]Should there be separate columns for current home teams, former home teams, and/or notable events to keep the information more organized or would that just be unnecessary? Thanks, Nelson Roy (talk) 00:40, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
- I think it's unnecessary. There are currently 7 columns in the table, and adding more will tend to make the table over-complimicated :) PKT(alk) 01:27, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
