[edit]

Please do *not* split this page! All items here will be incorporated into the correspondent letter pages (alphabetical listing) when list format will be converted into table format, which will include all listings for all genres here, thus rendering this page obsolete. At such time this page will be deleted. Thank you. ;-) More info here.
Also, please do *not* change any section title without modifying to *match exactly* all contents templates listed throughout all SF TV programs pages. ;-)
Tx for your time + concern.

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of science fiction television programs by genre's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "TO 1":

  • From List of science fiction television programs, T: darkhorse_logg (2009-11-16). "3D Sci-Fi Action Anime "TO" to be aired on TBS before the DVD and Blu-ray Release". GigaZine. Retrieved 2011-06-01.
  • From 2001 Nights: Anime News Network (2009-11-13). "10 Minutes of Fumihiko Sori's To Sci-Fi CG Anime Posted". Anime News Network. Retrieved 2010-07-12.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 12:39, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am the one who added those 2 refs to both (1) 2001 Nights + (2) List of SF TV programs pages.
For the purpose of listing "TO" on the SF TV programs page, the appropriate ref is the GigaZine URL [#1 above], which proves that "TO" even if it is an OVA, aired on TV b4 being released on DVD. ;-)
To my understanding the proper ref has been already re-added to the proper SF TV page by Kiranerys, after the main SF TV page has been split. [thanks a lot for all your work!]

Dr. Who Steampunk

[edit]

Since when is Dr. Who Steampunk"? How can it be categorized as such when "Steampunk" is mentioned nowhere on the actual Dr. Who page, and Dr. Who is mentioned nowhere on List of steampunk works? Who's editing this, people from Boing Boing? Saudade7 11:31, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Insult, flame + troll much? There is a place for people like you... in the banned trash bin. Please delete the inappropriate portions of your comment, otherwise I [or some1 else here] will report you.
And even if I usually ignore comments from people such as yourself [please note the absence of insulting terms here ;-/], this time I'm going to give you another chance to become an educated human being.
Even if Wikipedia is at this point in time one of the (if not the) most reliable and elaborate encyclopedias on the planet, it is not perfect nor complete. Far from it. That's why is is edited/improved so much every single day. ;-)
Therefore it may not have [yet] a mention of Dr. Who being (having ties to) steampunk, but that may change in the future, whenever some1 [why don't you, this way you could put your spare time to better, constructive use?] may take time to research the web/books/references/etc on this subject.
I've just googled "dr who steampunk" (remember... Google is your friend ;-/), and guess what? I've found lots of references. Even if some are not appropriate for quoting at Wikipedia, here are some I found interesting...

You may also want to watch some more Dr. Who episodes/films/specials/shorts/animation/etc, there are plenty of steampunk elements, some more obvious than others:

  • the TARDIS interior → see "Console room" = a Wikipedia page that clearly states [contrary to what you said]: "The cavernous, steampunk-inspired console room of the television movie may have been a reconfiguration of either of the previously mentioned console rooms [...]"
  • the "Christmas Special"

Do these ring a (steampunk) bell? ;-/
I do admit though, that not all Dr. Who series/films/specials/spin-offs are steampunk, but overall, the Dr. Who franchise is.

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:
