Duplication of this article

[edit]

Premier of the People's Republic of China is basically the same thing as this one, only with less information. I proposed there that we delete that particular page. What does anyone or everyone else think? MagnoliaSouth (talk) 14:20, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other discussions

[edit]

"Finally, in 1380, Emperor Hongwu decreed to kill his Prime Minister, & never appointed another one in his life. Since this, emperors never appointed any other premiers since 1911." I find this kind of doubtful. What was Premier in Chinese in imperial times anyways? Zongli 总理? Or 首相? Yinsi was 总理大臣, how do you translate that? Zhang Tingyu was 军机大臣, which is basically an administrative affairs position similar to that of the PM, how do you translate that? Colipon+(T) 22:44, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

shou xiang, da chen and zong li should all be translated as Prime Minister. But this article shoudl be deleted anyway, since it is just a copy of the lists (or lists which SHOULD BE) on other pages. 218.103.132.85 15:45, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Distinct governments

[edit]

Regardless of whether one considers Taiwan and China to be one country or two, the governments are clearly distinct. This article should be split into separate articles for the list of ROC presidents and the list of PRC presidents. Readin (talk) 17:48, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
