Azores?

I find this list pretty strange. How can the Azores be this high, considering it is only 840 km from the south east most island of the Azores to Madeira?

I havn't checked other islands / archipelagos on the list, but wouldn't a more interesting list be how far away these islands archpelagos are from a continent or at least "siginficant" island? At least since it is very hard to define this, what is considered an island? How far apart can islands in an archipelago be etc.

Would be interesting to discuss this to improve the list or add another article. Yens (talk) 12:06, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
