Not a directory....

[edit]

I'm sorry to say that it seemed necessary to remove a large amount of content from this well-intentioned article. Per WP:LINKFARM, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of external links; the links should be to internal content rather than a directory of charity websites. I've removed all links that I couldn't immediately see linked to Wikipedia content; a few of these I was able to do myself, but obviously it would be a full day's work to reference these individually. The criteria for list inclusion, it seems to me, should either be inclusion in Wikipedia or, per WP:SAL, "If the company or organization does not have an existing article in Wikipedia, a citation to an independent, reliable source should be provided to establish its membership in the list's group." Please note that if anyone would like to see the previously existing list for reference, it can be found before 5 April 2012 in the article's history. (And if I've erred in my understanding of the above guidelines, reversion is only a few clicks away. =)). Cheers, Khazar2 (talk) 06:34, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
