Weird entry for June 2

[edit]

So we open this month with a bit of a weird entry. We had two tornadoes in Briscoe County, Texas on June 2. Because of they were on the ground simultaneously and had overlapping paths, LUB listed them as a single EFU track. However, since it states that two tornadoes occurred, I have listed them here separately. Not sure if anyone thinks they should be combined. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:54, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would like your input on this @Wxtrackercody:. They're consolidated into one path, but the same PNS does say it was two tornadoes, so it's not like we're relying on a non-official source. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:11, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They acknowledge there were two tornadoes, but then they mention consolidating them into one track, which is the difference maker here. Note that the title of the PNS says Briscoe County Tornado (not tornadoes). The subheader says tornado, not tornadoes as well, and details are only listed for one event, not two. Hopefully they split them in the future because they were clearly two distinct tracks on satellite, but for now, we have to list it as one. wxtrackercody (talk · contributions) 20:30, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Central Illinois tornadoes June 13

[edit]

The NWS in Lincoln, Illinois has confirmed that three EF1 tornadoes touched down in their forecast area on June 13 but have not released further information on location etc. Mainly, it seems, because it's been tough to untangle them from a larger area of straight-line wind damage. I haven't added them yet because the information is so minimal, but it's been a while so I'm wondering what kind of placeholder might suffice. TornadoLGS (talk) 17:45, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, detailed survey is out and they have been added. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:02, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
