Rangers in 2012

[edit]

The existing article states that they were demoted in 2012, however I don't believe this is the case. I had changed it to expelled but was reverted the same day. The old club ceased to exist however the assets were transferred to a new club that was created by Charles Green. It's generally accept that because of this the new and old Rangers are still the same club however they needed to be both voted into the SPFL and also the 3rd division for the subsequent season. It's an emotive subject but clearly "Demoted" is the wrong wording in this instance. I don't want to keep editing it for someone to go back and revert. Is there an acceptable term that can be used in its place? Paddy (talk) 21:33, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Read the talk-page archives. It has been discussed ad nauseum by the obsessed. Seasider53 (talk) 02:34, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
