Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on May 19, 2010.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that between 1924 and 1975, Oslo Sporveier took over all operators of the Oslo Tramway (SL95 tram pictured)?
Current status: Featured list

Some issues with this list

[edit]

There were some issues with this list that I had planned to mention at the FLC, but since it was passed in between, I mention it here instead:

  • The WebCite for Ref #15 is wrong (seems to be the same as for #14)
  • It should be made clear that Holmenkolbanen built and operated the Holmenkollen Line, but only operated the Sognsvann and Røa Lines
  • Where is the Korsvoll Line on this list?
  • It should be made clear that Ekebergbanen (company) was not private from 1948 to its disestablishment, since Oslo Municipality owned the majority of the stock share from 1948.

Thanks for pointing this out, and sorry for missing it.
  • Link fixed.
  • Added.
  • The Korsvoll Line opened on 4 May 1924, four days after the creation of Oslo Sporveier, so it is included under 'all'.
  • All companies which were eventually bought by OS, but were for a long time private, are listed as such, with Ekebergbanen no exception. All the companies were eventually bought by the municipality at some time.
