Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on June 10, 2010.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that one of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Commuter Rail stations is located in Rhode Island?

Planned stations

[edit]

There are 6 more planned station on the south coast rail project [1] Ill add these when i have more time unless someone else does first. --Found5dollar (talk) 22:00, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As the stations are not yet set in stone, I'd rather we wait. There is still uncertainty of when and if the project will start as well. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 22:27, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I wold say they are pretty well set considering the MBTA just announced a design competition for Whales Tooth station. [2]--Found5dollar (talk) 13:34, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can't seem to find a concrete up to date source for the stations. The first link you provided only shows the lower portion of the extension and misses the stops in Easton, Raynham, and at one in Taunton. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 23:40, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Template

[edit]

Would there be value in adding a template for MBTA Commuter Rail stations? It would organize it in an easier way to see and access all of the stations when on an individual station's page. --armoreno10 16:48, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't personally think so. There are something like 135 stations and counting; that would make a huge template. A better option might be templates for each line, though I don't think that's really necessary. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 16:55, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

[edit]

Is there really the need for so much background information in the lead section? The ridership data is outdated anyway, and the rest of the information can just be found on the main MBTA Commuter Rail article. I didn't want to make any changes before discussion first since this is a Featured List. Thanks! – Daybeers (talk) 09:56, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As a featured list (though, quite honestly, it doesn't currently meet that standard), a few paragraphs of background are appropriate. I've removed some outdated info on extensions, and on the NSRL; I'll try to do more. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 17:09, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
