'Since 1980 when rock music was revived in Britain by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal' Sounds VERY POV to be, especially as this statement is so wrong, what with the Madchester scene. LiAm McShAnE 12:56, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

duplication

This page basically has a timeline three times so I would suggest either one progressive timeline, or one VERY brief summery and then one extended.Yellowxander (talk) 10:26, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thinking about it, this page actually just duplicates the info on each of the Monsters of Rock and Download Festival. I think more emphasis should be on what has been there rather than who's been playing there each year, so a history of the site in general which should make this article relevant and strong.Yellowxander (talk) 19:50, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
finally finished sorting. looking at the layout of the more detailed info, maybe this would look better in a chart? It would clarify the info better and use less room down the page and utilize space across the page. eg;
Year Date Event Days Stages Acts Attendance Recordings
1980 May 31st & June 1st Download Festival 2 days 2 stages 57 bands

I think that looks great, much more readable!!Yellowxander (talk) 10:22, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
