Correction

[edit]

Re this entry - John William Fordham DC 45 Metropolitan Police 26 January 1985 Stabbed during the Brink's-Mat robbery.

Not "during" - he was actually engaged in a later undercover operation against suspects in that robbery, and was stabbed by one of them (the notorious Kenneth Noye) - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Brink%27s-Mat_robbery#Arrests

Ignoring the list inclusion criteria

[edit]

The criteria for inclusion as stated in the lead says the article includes only those serving police officers who were killed as a direct result of a crime or while attempting to respond, prevent, stop or solve a specific criminal act. Yet have included an officer for whom that is not the case. She attended a road traffic collision on 11 January 2025, whilst off-duty, and was killed by a passing lorry. So far, no crime or criminal act has been confirmed, so I propose we remove this entry as it fails to meet the minimum inclusion criteria. -- DeFacto (talk). 22:39, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

By assisting at the rtc she was trying to prevent any criminal acts occurring, that falls within the criteria. Nthep (talk) 22:52, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The cited source doesn't say that, and we cannot assume it. -- DeFacto (talk). 23:08, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
